Frequently Asked Questions

ACCOMMODATION FAQ'S

General  information about our accommodation and facilities.

Q: What time is check-in and check-out?

Check in is 1pm and check out is 10am. Early check in is sometimes possible – just ask.

Q: Can I have a late check-out?

If you need a late checkout please ask at reception. Checkouts later than 12.00pm will incur a late checkout charge of $88.

Q: Do you require a security bond upon check-in?

No.

Q: Is there Internet or Wi-Fi access available?

Yes, free internet connection is available in all studios.

Q: What facilities do you have?

All studios have a fully equipped kitchenette, washer/dryer or free washing service, reverse cycle air conditioning, free internet connection and Digital TV.  There is a barbecue available for the use of guests.

Q: Is after hours check-in available?

Yes. We have contactless check-in. Keys are left in a key safe on the wall outside Reception. The code is emailed to you the day before your arrival and also sent by text on the day of arrival. There is also an intercom on the wall should you have any difficulties and need to reach us.

Q: How often are the apartments serviced?

The studios are serviced weekly so unless you stay more than 7 nights your studio will not be serviced. However, fresh towels and complimentary tea, coffee, sugar etc can be obtained through reception anytime during reception hours.

Q: Is all linen provided?

Yes, all linen is provided.

Q: Is wheelchair access available?

We have Budget, Twin and Double studios that are suitable for someone in a wheelchair. None of the Triple Studios are wheelchair-friendly. Check with us first that an appropriate room will be available for your dates.

Q: Do you allow pets?

No. Unfortunately, we are no longer pet friendly.

Q: Do you have parking?

No, we only have limited off-street parking available on a non-reservable basis. There is plenty of on-street parking in Brisbane Street but it is metered during certain hours.

Q: Is there a gym nearby?

Yes, just across the road and they have special discounted rates for guests of the hotel.

Q: Do you bulk bill under the patient travel subsidy scheme?

Yes, we do. We need your local Patient Travel Officer to forward us an Accommodation Approval form prior to your arrival which we will need you to sign and return to us prior to checkout. It’s often confusing and guests are appropriately focussed on more pressing concerns, but give us a call prior to booking and we’ll help you through the process. Our aim is to make it as simple and hassle-free as possible for you.

Q: I want a quiet room, what room type should I book?

Because the majority of our guests need close proximity to local hospitals, we are located in an Inner City area close to a major thoroughfare and we have discounted certain smaller rooms as Budget Rooms because of this. These Budget Studios are mostly located at the busy Ipswich Road end of the building, are double glazed and every effort to reduce the noise from Ipswich Road has been made. If you would like to ensure that you are not placed near this major road, we suggest that you book a standard room and let us know that you would like a quiet room as there are plenty available.

Q: I'm a smoker, can I smoke in your rooms?

For the convenience of all our guests, smoking is not allowed in any of our rooms. However, most rooms come with a private balcony and there are many outdoor areas easily accessible for smokers.
